SPECIAL PROJECTS/
EMPower through jewelry - jordan
Katherine designed a jewelry range inspired by her trademark symbolism and the heritage of the Levant. Made by young Syrian women living in Jordan, this short film shows how jewelry can provide education and economic empowerment for women.
Women’s Entrepreneurship
This film summarizes a visit to an entrepreneurship program in Irbid, Jordan to review a class of mostly refugees - Syrian, Palestinian, and Jordanian women - studying under a program of Education for Employment and UNWOMEN.
The economic situation in Jordan has grown worse in past years and the US Embassy sees entrepreneurship as a pathway to women’s economic inclusion in a region where few women have opportunities.
